and hers is really well done..in my humble opinion.

New Record Journals! So Many Records So Little Time!

Hellu Pussycats!!!

I made a bunch of record album cover journals on the weekend.

Working with these covers from  the 70's and 80's never gets old!

There is a good giggle in every one.

Great album...but really??! All of you on a rope???

Umm....Is she doing a Princess Leah impression here???

Oh wow..where to start with this!

I grew up in the 80's and I have to admit

I was really into that look at the time...*shudder*.

I loved this album!!!

I wore out my CARS cassette tape on my Sanyo Walkman
while wearing my dessert boots. :)

Ther are lot so these gems in the studio and on my web page in the

Journal Section.

They are great for class, lists or notes.

I Want To Sleep In a WigWam Motel!

I saw a fabulous photo of a vintage Teepee Motel 

A Wig Wag hotel!!!! EEEEE!!!!!

what??! REALLY!!!???

I had to know more!

Turns out you can still actually stay in one.

My next vacation has been decided.

It looks like there were 7 wigwag villages built in the
US between 1933 and 1950.

I would like to go back in time and be there....

Off Beat Accommodations has small article with some info and also a link to make reservations at

WigWam Hotel on old Route 66 in Holbrook Arizona :)

Only $58.00 a night for 2 double beds.

I found a fabulous new Canadian Vintage seller thru my adventures  on Twitter last week.

I would like to introduce you to Upside Dive of Toronto Canada.

They are located at 269 Queen St.East Toronto Ontario.

They offer vintage and retro clothing and home decor on their web site as well
as in their store on Queen Street.

Lots of interesting goodies to choose from!

The interesting thing about Upside Dive is that this a family affair...

Retro Gals on Wooden Coasters

Hellu Pussycats!!!

I have some lovely retro image coasters that I am putting online today.

These coasters sport the images of some of the finest women of the 1950's.

Oh Meow!!!! The original sex kitten.

The back of these coasters have either cork or black foam.

Elizabeth Taylor was gorgeous...wow.

And of course, everyone's favourite...Audrey.

Lastly, the most exquiste of them all....

Sophia Loren.

If I could transform myself into someone it would be her while she looked like this....

These are lightweight wooden coasters that

are easy to ship and won't break.

Warm and Wonderful...Canadian Style!

You all know how I HATE to be cold.

I will avoid being cold at all costs!

For me it is the same debate every winter...
"How can I stay warm and look nice or cute etc." ???

It isn't easy to do.

BUT then!- I found Knittles from Calgary.

They have the most gorgeous hand knit hats and warmers.

I really like the chunky knits...

Then these...

 

 

I like this one ..a lot.

I like how it will be warm and then when you don't

want to wear the hood...it becomes a neckwarmer.

You aren't stuck carrying a hat around or worse...dropping your hat and loosing it.

Lastly,

 

Yes please!

They have lots of cute hats for kids too.

Maybe winter isn't all that bad after all.
