I have said it before and I will say it again...

my BFF is a genius with the drill.

Seriously, that girl can drill into just about anything.
Before you know it,
there is a cord running out of that thing and it is a lamp.

Voila!! Just like that.

I am lucky if I know how to plug in the damn drill.
Katrina has been busy working her magic...have a look.

I have a stunning new suitcase table in the studio today.

Sweet turquoise colour with silver legs..sex-ay!

 

There are some marks on the inside...but it is vintage.

The legs come off so it is easily shippable if you live out of town.

I can ship Greyhound which is often very fast and economical.

Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

Hellu Pussycats!!!!

Yesterday I was on a mission and made 8 new tees.

I made 4 Mediums and 4 Larges.

I really enjoy making these b/c of the mixing and matching that goes on.

These are mediums laying out in piles of 4.

 

Before I can sew all 3 front pieces together I have to put the binding on the pocket edges.

I am very lucky to have a binding machine or a "collarette" machine.

I don't use it as much as I should. It was VERY expensive but it

can be a real pain in the behind.

When it cooperates it is a dream to sew with.

 

Now I am ready to serge my fronts together and then add the back to

the shoulder seams . 

Some of the sleeves and other parts come from tees that

I am upcycling...

 

Sleeves go in next.

Yes, I pin in my gathers and straight it first before serging.

I have knicked way too many serger knives thinking I can gather on the serger first...I can't.

Serge in sleeves and then side seams.

Add the ribbing and hem and then ...

Voila! Finished Weezi Kanga Tees.

The litle dress forms are too small and don't fit the tees

properly.
There is a Medium and a large in each colour way.

I have to say I am very happy with them.

All in the studio today.

New Record Journals! So Many Records So Little Time!

Hellu Pussycats!!!

I made a bunch of record album cover journals on the weekend.

Working with these covers from  the 70's and 80's never gets old!

There is a good giggle in every one.

Great album...but really??! All of you on a rope???

Umm....Is she doing a Princess Leah impression here???

Oh wow..where to start with this!

I grew up in the 80's and I have to admit

I was really into that look at the time...*shudder*.

I loved this album!!!

I wore out my CARS cassette tape on my Sanyo Walkman
while wearing my dessert boots. :)

Ther are lot so these gems in the studio and on my web page in the

Journal Section.

They are great for class, lists or notes.

whizz she is with a drill and some glue.

She really is the most crafty gal I know.

You just never know what she is going to turn into a lamp.

For example....

Everyone luvs these camera lamps. They are our best seller.

 

Blender lamps make great night lights in the kitchen.

These are all in the studio now.

We are working on getting them on line.
