Wonderful Wellies!
Oh Pussycats ...check these out!!! I triple love these boots.
These are designed by Tamara Henriques.
www.tamarahenriques.comHere is a blurb from her web page....

Tamara Henriques began her career at American Vogue. A childhood spent wearing bog standard (and bog colored) wellies, had given Henriques a fetish for footwear – Vogue led her to explore a world of shoes beyond her Wellingtons. She soon began designing her own label.

I am telling you...these boots could actually inspire me to enjoy autum.
AND!- they are availbale in Canada! Imagine that.
Grimbsy Ont. is what is listed on her web apge.
Go to the her web site...you will be doing a rain dance EVERY day!
So much to choose from and be inspired by.
Hope you enjoy her stuff as much as i did!
Have good monday Pussycats! luv Weezi xo

Hey Pussycats!
Does anyone else immediately go into a time wrap when you see this ad???
This is from 1977.
All i can think of is being in grade 7...shopping with my Mum in the Woolworth's downtown.
I desperately wanted some "Babe" makeup...all those pinks and reds!!!
UUUGGGG! i would have killed for a tube of that shiny lipgloss.
Ok, now i can hear in my head Rex Smith singing Sooner or Later!!!
( this is not the cover of the paperback i remember. I tried to find it and i could not. It had a picture of a girl in a white tee- her hair was dark and she was very cute..not to mention VERY young . She wore a gold locket around her neck with a pic of him in there. I had a copy of the book up until a few years ago...why oh why do i give anything away??!)
What a "babe" he was. Sigh....good times!
I remember wanting the BABE Perfume By FABERGE too...

but alas my Mum said i was too young.
I luv reliving stuff like that.."remember when"???
It never ceases to amaze me how a smell (especially) can send me into a time wrap immediately! And- how much i remember.....
where i was when i first smelt it, saw it or heard it.
What i was wearing...
what my friends were wearing..
where we were.

Fun stuff to reminise about....

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians!
Caio , luv weezi xo

Hi Pussycats! ...
...anyone who knows me knows how i HATE winter!

The ONLY good thing about winter is the ability to
wear lovely vintage winter coats.
I am very inspired by the cut, fit and hang of these beautiful coats!
I have a theory that a gal cannot have too many
shoes, handbags or coats.
I especially luv these coats.
I found these at www.poshgirlvintage.com

These are great examples of what winter coats should look like.
I really enjoy all the details..the specifics of a coat from that time.
The buttons, the faux fur and the belts. ...glorious.
I like how there is attention to the true waist...
...not what "the kids today" think a waist means.
I like the fit of vintage coats...very feminine and curvy.
The best thing about these is you can wear them with
jeans and casual boots OR a fabulous dress under with sexy boots.

Either way you can't go wrong...and you always looks fantastic!
These almost make me think that winter can be bearable....almost.
Now...what hat to wear?! Later pussycats, luv Weezi x0

Hey Pussycats!
This slip i dyed came out fantastic! I am not sure which i like better...
this one or the olive green one.
I think i am leaning towards this one.
There is such a 1920's feeling to this slip i think....
it has the look of a bias cut.
I am offcially addicted to this now....i am going to be
dyeing slips and whatever i can get my hands on all winter.
Which will be a good thing b/c this apartment is
FREEZING in the winter time.
My furnace sucks and there is no insulation in the walls!
Ok, enough about the looming winter...i am bumming myself out!!!
Caio! have a good one! xo
I made this new bag yesterday and
it came out fantastic!

It is a wool plaid, very roomy and great for fall!
I added some pics that took as i was making it.
Hope you like!

Closer up.
Here are all my pieces ready to go!
It is very exciting to me at this stage
when
the pieces are all cut and you
can
see where this is headed but
it
is still very one dimensional.
This is the back , i had just attached the sides.
The lining is this great cotton with
printed chocolates!

It doesn't get better then that. Yumm!
Hello Pussycats!
Last night i played with a new purple dye and WOW!!!!- i was so esstatic about what came out of it!!! The 2 slips that i dyed are fantastic!
I only have a teaser photo for now until they dry.
HI Pussycats!
Anyone that knows me knows that i luv lingerie, especially full slips...vintage full slips.
I am currently working on dyeing slips some fantastic jewel tones for the fall.
I am luving the fact that i can ceate these deep, rich jewel tones.
I am a colour junky & am so happy the results so far.
I am so bored with finding only white, cream and black slips in the stores.
This is one of my initial dye lots. I was so happy with this "mossy-ish" olive green colour!!!!!
Tonight, i am going to try some purple colours.
I am also thinking about appliquing on little flowers and such on to the bottom of the slip.
So, as i am totally bummed about fall, the cooler temperatures and having to wear flannel to bed....i will console myslef with dying slips lovely shades for fall.
I will keep you posted on the purples...more to come!!!
Have a good one! Be in touch!! Luv Weezi xo
