My 1st Sewing Machine

Helluuu Pussycats! 

I was going thru photos today trying to organize 

some of my many, many folders online.

( I really need to print most of these

and get them into a real photo album and off the hard drive)

I found this one and thought I might share.
My 1st Sewing Machine

I can't even tell you how many hours I spent on this

little machine.

Making clothes for Barbies and other dolls.

I am sure at some point my Mum might have

regretted buying my this b/c it became an

obsession that took over most of the house.

I wanted to sew on the kitchen table.

I wanted to lay out everything to cut on the

dining room table.

We grew up in a little bungalow home so

there wasn't a lot of floor space but I managed

to somehow cover most of it in fabric, patterns

and notions.

Ask my Dad about finding pins in his bare feet!!

Hahah!!! I still hear about it today ;)

It wasn't long that I graduated to a "real" machine.

Altho- that machine did go pretty fast and the needle was sharp.

(I might be dating myself by admitting the toys we played with

didn't have many safety features!)

Anyhow- just goes to show you never know what

might happen when you give your child a toy

that can open up all kinds of creative pleasures & outlets.

Thanx Mum for getting me this!!!

I am sure I wouldn't have turned out to be an accountant anyhow

but this really did point me in the right direction :)

Incase you haven't figured it out I am a Gemini.

True to form.

Luv it or hate it I am thru and thru.

Indecisive and moody BUT loads of fun and never a dull moment :)

Not the sign I would have picked... but that is another topic of conversation.

We Geminis are the social butterflies of the Zodiac sign.

Constant fluttering about looking for the next party, the next "big thing".

Always looking for what is happening-
who is with who and who said what???!

We are the great communicators~
We talk and we talk and we talk and just when you 

think there isn't ANYTHING left to say...we talk a bit more.

( ask any of my dear friends)

However, we are are flighty and will move on from conversation

to conversation like a flash.

Flickle too. You bore me??? Not keeping up verbally???...I'll move on.

Short attention span...what was I saying???

No bother!~ we will start w something fresh! Let's talk about me :)

This is why social networking was made for us Gemini's.

OH yes!!!!! UBER fast, ever changing communication.

AND! loads of it- and it never, ever ends!

With lightening speed we can move back forth in the midst of thousands of posts.

We can talk and talk and move on from person to person with out

missing a beat.

We can always find someone new who will banter with us- we

can just keep communicating our little hearts out
and it never has to end. Ever.

*sigh*

It is exhausting and exhilarating at the same time.
Yes, social networking was invented just for

us Gemini's there is no doubt.

( Zuckerberg's b-day is the May 14th.
A Taurus perhaps but on the cusp of Gemini 

and that is enough  influence from the Twins over the Bull 

in manners of communication! The Bull is 

no match for our whimsy)

Where was I??? Oh yes! Talking! :)

So, as a true Gemini I can not leave any
communication rock unturned 

or any social network party unattended....

Think of all the conversations happening- all the sharing and

non stop postings with all those words & ideas!

It is dizzying really, just the thought of it.

I haven't really figured out how to use it yet.

I am not sure how to much of anything but follow people.

But-I am signed up and now an official member of the party :)

Really, that is all a Gemini needs!

I have been fascinated with charm bracelets ever since I was little.
I got my first one when I was 6.

I still have the charm that I got from my Mum.

And yes....that IS a clarinet beside the 6.
I did have ambitions of being a professional clarinet player
when I was about 13.
It was either that or be the first woman coach in the NBA.
Can't image how I fell into fashion design!
Anyhow...

I have had other charm bracelets over the years
but I have decided that now

is the time to do up a BIG one.

A Canadian themed one to wear while we travel.

I also would like to add my childhood charms to 

make it about the "travels" of my life.

oohh...that sounds so corny.

But you get where I am  going with this.

I want mine to be full of charms- I mean packed!
