I have some new BIG round courier bags in the studio.

This one is made from an "upcycled" wool blanket.
Cozy!

This beauty is made from a retro curtain.
OOOHH! To have curtains like these in your living room!!!


These bags are for the gal that likes to carry A LOT w her.

Another Great Canadian idea!-KOOTSAC

I was purr-oozing thru my favourite blogs today and came
across an article about this Canadian company from B.C. called Kootsac.

She makes re-usable food bags.
Her online shop is on Etsy...

What exactly is a Kootsac? A Kootsac is a re-usable bulk food bag. The larger ones can be used for produce as well. They are made of rip stop nylon and are available in a variety of bright and fun colors. I also have a biodegradable version made of 100% silk. They are lightweight, washable, re-usable and fasten with a twist tie.


I am going to order a set of red bags today. Only $10.50 plus $1.75 shipping!

What do you suggest using a Kootsac for? I designed these bags specifically for bulk food like flour, nuts, dried fruit, lentils, herbs and spices. The idea is to use these instead of the plastic bags provided at the grocery store. They are designed to be fastened with a twist tie. Many stores require that you write the bin number on the tie. They are also great for carrying snack food and they work well for holding food when on a hike or camping adventure.

She is getting a lot of interest and doing very well.
If you google Kootsac you can find a bunch of great
articles to read about what she is doing.

She has lots of sizes and colours to choose from.

A Suitcase That Doesn't Travel & a Painted Wood Fire?!

Today at in the Weezi Studio we have a couple new
and very interesting pieces.

I have a new HOT wooden flame box that my Dad made.


Very cool.


It would be great on a desk or on a hallway table....
If you have a devilish themed bedroom ( insert sexy growl here)
then it would be great on a dresser or night stand.


It is such a wonderful shape!

I don't know if he will ever make another one like this or not.

I think it is one of his best yet!

AND!- we also have a new suitcase table.


A little bit different from the last one but essentially the same idea.


Very cool for your funky living room or hallway.


You can put "stuff" in it like magazines or candles or DVDs.
We all have "stuff" that we need to hide.
Some of us have some stuff then others.... ah!- that would be me.

Vintage on eBay in Canada

I was checking out some vintage clothing on eBay this morning.
Specifically what is available IN Canada.
I found some cool things that I am very tempted by.

I found this great dress that is located in Toronto.






Looks like it is in good condition.
42" bust and 34" waist. Cool.
Her shipping is very reasonable as well.
This auction goes until July 31st.

She has this dress as well...



This auction isn't done until Aug. 1st.
This is very pretty!!!!
If this dress would fit me I would bid for sure!!!

One Year of the new Weezi Studio Today!

The Weezi studio has been open on Richmond &Albert ST.
one year today!!!!!!

We opened last year on July the 24th with great anticipation!

We started from this....

What a mess!


What shade of pink is ALWAYS a dilemma! ;)

Slowly things came together....




I was getting more and more nervous!!!


I felt like I didn't have nearly enough stock.
I couldn't image HOW I was going to fill the place.


Ha! What a joke!!! Now I don't have nearly ENOUGH space!

A great big heart felt thanx to everyone who has made my first year
year such a great success!

I really appreciate you coming (up those crazy stairs)
and supporting the studio!
